Gina Galfetti was born in Barre. She grew up in the city and moved to the town in 2014. She attended the University of Vermont and received her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science in 2013. Gina currently lives on Ledge Dr in Barre Town.
Gina left from 2000-2012 to find work. Gina started G Force Painting in 2007 in Telluride, Colorado. Upon returning to her home state in 2013 Gina worked in the legislative IT department during the 2014 session. In 2017 Gina started G Force Painting Inc here in Vermont. She currently employs 3-6 people depending on the season.
She is committed to preserving the Vermont way of life and believes strongly in advancing technical, vocational and trades education in schools. She is running to continue being a voice for her Barre Town and Williamstown constituents. She will fight for school funding reform to stabilize property taxes, eliminate taxes on Social Security to protect our seniors, eliminate taxes on military pensions as a workforce development tool and to take care of our veterans, comprehensive public safety initiatives that keep us all safe and expanding addiction services so that our loved ones return to us stable and healthy.
Gina fought hard to be a voice of reason when advocating against the Affordable Heat Act. The passage and implementation of this bill as noted by the PUC will raise the cost of heating fuels approximately 4 dollars a gallon. Gina will continue to fight to make sure the Act is stopped in its tracks and not adopted!
Gina currently serves as an alternate on the Development Review Board in Barre Town and is a member of the executive board for the Turning Point center in Barre.
Years in the Legislature: 2023-present.
